Not only for our customers, but Balcatta Panel and Paint Smash Repair is also a reliable partner. Many social projects can count on our consistent support for years. Because we like to help!
As a locally owned and operated smash repair shop, we take our social responsibility seriously and engage in a variety of projects to “keep things rolling”. Together with our neighbours, employees and their families, we are part of a local community that likes to make a difference.
In this blog, we’d like to introduce one of the projects we support. The Wheels for Hope Foundation assists WA families with disabilities who do not have suitable transport to access critical medical and remedial services, education and community activities. The foundation assists Western Australian families living within 650 kilometres from the Perth GPO to access critical medical and remedial care through the provision of loan wheelchair hoist vans.
Recently we supported Wheels for Hope by repairing a van of their fleet free of charge. These jobs get priority in our workshop as we know how important it is to be back on the road. The roof started rusting so we took care of the affected panel and painted it afterwards. After a wash, the van was handed back to Wheels of Hope to help families in need to have suitable transport.
The foundation has been established in 2008 as a charity supported by the automotive industry in WA with the Wheels for Hope brand launched in 2011.
“This is a great way for us to give back to the community,” says Andrew Jaques, owner of our shop Balcatta Panel and Paint Smash Repair. “Together with Car Craft, MTA, Perron Group, Toyota, Lotterywest, Telethon Foundation, St. George Foundation and RAC we are helping families to stay mobile and safe on the road.”
